Burundi American International Academy (BAIA) has been in service since 2014. We opened with approximately 155 students. In April 2015 there was political unrest and the school closed down until September 2015 when it reopened with roughly 80 students. In the past three years the school has maintained an average enrollment of 145 students. This current academic year there are 125 students.
Students – Burundian 46% / Congolese 22% / American 7% / Indian 7% / Kenyan 3% / The 11 other nationalities are 15%
Teachers – Burundian 40% / US 25% / Ugandan 25% / Kenyan 10%
